Kiyomi Beach Will Serve as Interim Leader as TAME Begins the Search for Our Next Executive Director
The TAME Board of Directors is happy to announce that Kiyomi Beach, founder of Insights4Equity LLC, has been appointed Interim Executive Director. Kiyomi and Insights4Equity have been working with TAME since July 2023 to develop a theory of change and articulate the research base behind TAME’s programming.
“With her existing knowledge of TAME’s programs and operations and her organizational management expertise, Kiyomi is an ideal person to lead TAME through this period of transition,” says David Salas, Board Chair.
Over the past four years under the leadership of Andrea Herrera Moreno, TAME implemented a strategic plan that refocused the organization on its original mission of helping students from underrepresented communities pursue their engineering dreams. TAME developed a research-backed curriculum for Club learning, a common theme for Regional Competitions, and strategies to provide greater support and resources for TAME’s statewide network of Regions, partners and volunteers.
“TAME is strong in terms of our program, our operations and our finances,” says David. “And we look forward to identifying TAME’s next leader, who will oversee the organization’s greatest strength: TAME’s incredible network of volunteers, partners, Regions, Clubs, students and families all working together to help engineering dreams come true.”
