TAME is seeking our next Executive Director!
For almost half a century, TAME has inspired and equipped Texas students from underrepresented groups to become future engineers. TAME’s program has evolved along with the engineering field, but our commitment to supporting the next generation of diverse Texas engineers has remained steadfast.
This is an exciting time to join our team! Over the past four years, TAME has worked to strategically enhance our program and operations by introducing a research-based engineering curriculum focused on engineers’ role in solving global challenges, overhauling evaluation and impact measures to be community-driven, revamping TAME’s visual brand and messaging, developing a strong foundation for individual fundraising efforts, and providing greater support for TAME’s network of Regions, Clubs and volunteers.
TAME is now seeking our next visionary leader, who will lead TAME’s statewide ecosystem of partners, students, volunteers, and parents and advance TAME’s mission to support and inspire the next generation of diverse Texas engineers.
TAME is at a critical and exciting time in our history as the organization prepares to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2026 and develop a new strategic plan.

Important Notes about the Position
- TAME and The University of Texas at Austin/Cockrell School of Engineering (CSE) have had a strong partnership since 1991.
- In addition to donating office space to TAME, CSE is TAME’s payroll management and IT provider. As such, all TAME employees are UT Austin employees, and our hiring process is through CSE’s human resources systems.
- Applicants will submit their application through the UT Austin job portal.
- UT Austin lists the position as “Director, Texas Alliance of Minorities in Engineering, Cockrell School of Engineering,” and this could be confusing to some. This is the official title of the position within UT Austin’s structure. This is a mere technicality: TAME is hiring for an Executive Director.
- The TAME Executive Director will have the corresponding expectations and supervision and will report to the TAME Board of Directors, while managing their own team of employees and consultants.
