TAME is a statewide collaboration of local “alliances”, or interconnected, cross-sector partnerships among schools and educators, higher education, industry, libraries, volunteers, and families. TAME’s partnerships, which span the entire education-to-employment spectrum, help ensure TAME programs are targeted, relevant, engaging, and effective.
Our partners are teachers, academics, STEM professionals, and industry representatives who recognize that TAME programs strengthen schools, businesses, and communities.
Through higher education partnerships, TAME connects students to a wide range of colleges and universities across the state, encouraging attendance at community colleges and trade schools as well as at four-year institutions. TAME’s higher education partners include the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, University of Houston, Texas Tech University, Lamar University, Odessa College, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Tarrant County College, Midwestern State University, Angelo State University, and St. Phillips College.
Through collaborations with industry and professional associations, TAME connects students to positive role models, mentorships, and employment opportunities in engineering and STEM.
