On Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, middle and high school students from the Valley Region came together for the 2024 TAME Regional Engineering Competition and clean energy challenge!

The day flew by as teams of TAME Engineers worked together to plan and design creative solutions to replace carbon-based fuel sources with clean, affordable and renewable sources of energy. The Regional Competition theme of clean and affordable energy is based on Lesson 7 of TAME’s 2023-24 curriculum and aligns with global goals for sustainable development, outlined by the United Nations.  

• The top six scoring teams were recognized at the event.  
• Engineering Mindset Awards honored students who exemplified TAME’s 5Cs of engineering (Curious, Creative, Collaborative, Committed, Contributive).  
• TAME’s Senior Awards were given the students and graduating seniors that have been most committed to learning through TAME’s programs.  

TAME would also like to extend our deepest thanks to the partners and funders that supported the 2024 Valley Regional Competition, including Ector County ISD and The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

We’re also extremely grateful for the generous statewide funding for TAME’s 2024 Regional Competitions, Clubs and Scholarships provided by Boeing, ConocoPhillips, Constellation, Drax, Emerson, General Motors, HEB, Halliburton, NI, and Silicon Labs.
