The TAME 2022 Dallas Divisional STEM Competition was hosted at Berkner STEM Academy on March 4, 2022. Twenty-two student competitors from across the region attended the free event.
Texas students from grades 6-12 competed in teams to solve an all-new Engineering Design Challenge.
The top three teams from the Engineering Design Challenge were recognized. Two teams also received special Judges’ Choice Awards for innovation, teamwork, or perservance. Each team selected a Most Valuable Engineer from their team based upon collaboration, unique design suggestions, and team spirit.
Thanks to the support of TAME’s generous sponsors, STEM Competitions across Texas are offered free of charge for all participants. We are especially grateful to TAME’s 2022 State Competition Partner PPG, State Awards Partner Halliburton, and Regional Presenting Partner Raytheon Intelligence & Space.
TAME thanks our Event Coordinators, Carol McBroom and Taressa Anderson, our dedicated TAME Club Partners, and the many volunteers from Raytheon Intelligence and Space, Texas A&M Chevron – Engineering Academy, Berkner Chapter of L.O.O.P, and Richardson ISD for celebrating achievement in STEM and making learning fun and exciting for Texas students.
The Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering (TAME) is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing Texas students to join a strong and diverse STEM workforce. TAME programs encourage students to build skills and explore STEM concepts through hands-on activities, TAME Clubs, and statewide and divisional STEM Competitions.
