On March 25th at Amarillo College, 33 middle and high school students from three TAME Clubs in the Amarillo area came together for the 2023 TAME Engineering Competition!  

The day was a flurry of creative exploration and collaboration as teams worked to develop a prototype for water transport, as well as the documentation and design proposal. The TAME Competition theme of water transport aligns with what many TAME Clubs have been learning about all year: the essential role of engineers in helping the world access clean water.  

The TAME Competition had six mixed-age teams. The top scoring teams were recognized at the event. TAME also gave out a Senior Award to the graduating senior that have been most committed to learning through TAME’s programs.  

A huge and heartfelt thanks to the Amarillo TAME Chapter Leaders: Dominic Cortez and Chantal Jones.
