Happy Thanksgiving! Among the many STEM inventions that have made our world a better place are a few made possible by Shirley Jackson, the high-tech trailblazing woman whose breakthrough scientific research enabled others to invent and improve technologies like the the touch tone telephone, the portable fax machine, solar cell and fiber optic cables. In other words, you probably wouldn’t be reading this now without her work.
