 Science Rocks! Summer Library Program

In recent years, thanks to generous donations from the Tocker Foundation, TAME has been pleased to offer free summertime Trailblazer visits to small libraries across Texas. The Trailblazer typically visits 30 libraries between June – July, continuing the successful annual 'Science Rocks!' summer program. TAME launched the program in summer 2012 in collaboration with Connecting Texas Libraries Statewide (CTLS), and funding from the Texas State Libraries and Archives Commission. Thanks to the Tocker Foundation, in 2017 the program enters its 6th year, bringing hands-on, fun STEM programs to communities across Texas.

"We loved having the Trailblazer. Visits to the library were way up that day and all the children who went through the museum had a wonderful time. I want to thank you again for choosing the Pilot Point Community Library to visit. It was an amazing program and I know the children (and adults) who went through it learned so much."

-- Wendy Turner, Library Director

Libraries serving fewer than 12,500 patrons are eligible to apply.
