TAME is proud to sponsor People Builders, a non-profit founded by TAME Alumna Katrieva Jones-Monroe, to bring a summer STEM camp to students in Midland, Texas this June.
People Builders Association is holding its holding its 4th annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) summer camp for middle school students at Midland College Cogdell Learning Center in Midland, Texas June 15 – June 26 from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
The STEM summer camp will give students real-world experiences in STEM education through inquiry learning. Students will attend a variety of non-credit STEM classes taught by certified teachers and college educators, in the areas of Engineering, Science, Advanced Mathematics, Code and Coding Theory, Application Design, and a variety of social activities and local field trips.
Lucky participants will:
- Learn the benefits of solar energy and how it can power an entire city in Weird Science
- Design dimensionally animated objects in the Technology powerhouse, 3D Animation
- Design blueprints and build a model city in the exciting Urban Planning: an Engineering Empowering class
- Discover mathematic principles and formulas that will bring your 3D animations to life in Number Crunchers
- Arts & crafts
- Athletic activities
