The Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering (TAME) is proud to announce that longtime partner Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has generously awarded a $50,000 grant to empower Texan students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics will support students as the Host and Presenting Sponsor the 30th Annual State Math & Science Competition. TAME Competitions bring together hundreds of high performing students, grades 6-12, to challenge their science and math skills and connect with a network of peers and mentors across Texas and beyond. In the 2013-2014 academic school year, 100% of TAME seniors that competed were going to college. Of those, 90% chose to major in STEM and 50% chose to major in Engineering.
