The Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering (TAME) is pleased to announce that partner Halliburton has generously awarded $25,000 to empower Texan students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
The funding supported test development and the Halliburton Ace Awards for outstanding academic performance at the annual STEM Competitions. Funding also supported the design and installation of a new Thermal Energy Exhibit on TAME’s Trailblazer I, a mobile STEM museum, and the development of bookmarks that highlight concepts in thermal energy.
The Trailblazers are an innovative, inspiring STEM engagement program that reach students across Texas. The annual STEM Competitions prepare students for success in STEM and celebrate student achievement in math, science, and engineering. All TAME programs including the Trailblazers and the STEM Competitions are offered free of cost to participants thanks to the support of sponsors like Halliburton. We are so grateful for the company’s continued support for Texas students, for helping us build a workforce that looks like Texas.
