Step up for STEM in your community!
TAME chapters provide local leadership and support for STEM education. From the high plains to the gulf, TAME brings exciting science programming to K-12 students all across Texas. Our local chapters make this possible. Led by dedicated volunteers from local STEM industries, school districts, higher education institutions, and libraries, TAME Chapters develop locally relevant offerings like career days, factory tours, and professional development for teachers. Local chapter leaders work with TAME's strong network of K-12 teachers, higher education partners, and corporate partners to strengthen the education-to-employment pipeline in Texas.
TAME Chapters cover large areas of Texas that correspond to the Texas Education Agency regions. Each TAME Chapter coordinates local events for each of the smaller TAME Clubs formed by schools, libraries, homeschool groups, and other organizations. In recent years, each TAME Chapter has coordinated an average of 185 students registered in an average of 10-11 TAME Clubs per chapter, though some have as many as 27 TAME Clubs registered. The largest TAME Chapter recruited nearly 500 students.
TAME Clubs are free to register and require only 8 students, an Adult Sponsor, and regular meetings about STEM in person. Learn more and sign up on the TAME Club page of our website.
