- Calculators
- Students are allowed to use a calculator during any test except 6th Grade Math, 7th Grade Math, and 8th Grade Math. NOTE: If calculators have been provided by TAME, only TAME calculators can be used. If not, only scientific calculators or models TI-84 and below are permitted. However, the memory must be cleared of all programs prior to the test and no CAS ability is allowed.
- Individual math and science test periods will be 45 minutes and contain a maximum of 50 multiple choice items
- The team test period will be 60-90 minutes in length and content differs from year to year
- Individual test scores are based on the total number of correct answers.
- In the case of a tie the higher rank goes to the student who has the most consecutive correct answers starting from the first question.
- Scoring results will not be distributed at the conclusion of the contest. All answer sheets and grading information will remain confidential to the Math & Science Contest committee and the State Office.
