Calling all TAME graduating seniors!  Scholarship applications & letters of recommendation from TAME Club Sponsors are due at 11:59p on Monday, May 1st, 2017.

Calling all TAME graduating seniors!

TAME Freshman Scholarship applications for the 2017-2018 school year are now open. Applications, documentation, and letters of recommendation from TAME Club Sponsors are due to the TAME State Office no later than 11:59p on Monday, May 1st, 2017.

Winners Announced for Boeing "Behind the Next Big Thing" T-Shirt Design Contest


(Austin, TX) The Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering is pleased to announce the winner of the Boeing “Behind the Next Big Thing” T Shirt Design Contest for the 32nd Annual TAME State STEM Competition. TAME students across Texas submitted a record number of entries, impressing judges with artistic creativity and design.

Congratulations to Siddhant Puranik of TAME's Gulf Coast Chapter! Mr. Puranik of the T&T TAME Club is the first student from the Gulf Coast Chapter to win the contest in five years. He will receive a special invitation to the State STEM Competition on April 8th, hosted by CPS Energy at La Villita Assembly Building. At State Mr. Puranik will be presented with a $100 prize and a gift from our sponsor Boeing. His design will be unveiled on the day of the event, where it will be featured on the t-shirts, event programs and other materials that will be distributed to hundreds of participants.

2017 TAME Amarillo STEM Competition Results

(Odessa, TX) – The 2017 TAME West Texas STEM Competition was hosted at Odessa College on Saturday February 18, 2017. The event, held free of cost to participants, brought together over 100 student competitors (grades 6-12) from across the region.


(Amarillo, TX) – The 2017 TAME Amarillo STEM Competition was hosted at the Amarillo Area Center for Advanced Learning (AACAL) on Saturday February 18, 2017. The event, held free of cost to participants, brought together student competitors (grades 6-12) from across the region.

Students competed in individual math and science tests and were grouped into teams to participate in an Engineering Design Challenge. This year's challenge was developed by engineers from Boeing. The top six students from each test and the top three teams from the Engineering Design Challenge were recognized. Three teams also received a special Judges' Choice Award for creative problem solving.

(San Antonio, TX) – The 2017 TAME San Antonio STEM Competition was hosted by St. Philip’s College at the MLK Campus on Saturday February 25, 2017. The event, held free of cost to participants, brought together student competitors (grades 6-12) from across the region.

Students competed in individual math and science tests and were grouped into teams to participate in an Engineering Design Challenge. This year's challenge was developed by engineers from Boeing. The top three students from each test and the top four teams from the Engineering Design Challenge were recognized. Two teams also received a special Judges' Choice Award for creative problem solving.

One team also received a special Judges' Choice Award for creative problem solving. Shell Oil sponsored an ‘Outstanding Senior’ Award, which was presented with a laptop to Damaris Peraza of Presidio High School.
