Turning Dreams Into Reality for 30 years.

(1976-2006)

What is an engineer? Many people would say it’s a locomotive driver. That can be an engineer, but an engineer is actually a person that is trained in engineering. What is engineering? It is the work that uses scientific knowledge for things such as building bridges or buildings, designing machines, or even making cures for diseases.

Over the past thirty years technology and many other things have changes. Music, for example, used to be on records and now we have Ipods and MP3 players. That isn’t the only thing that changed though. Look around you. Mostly everything that you see was created or at least designed by an engineer. It’s extremely impressing how advanced we are getting. In Tokyo, Japan they made the most flexible digital clock in the world, with only 3 millimeters thick and the electronic paper is so special that it’s even recyclable. They’re also working on making fuel made of corn. Before you know it, there will be flying cars everywhere and cures for many diseases. The thing is that engineers don’t just get ideas and make stuff. It takes months or maybe even years to get every features precise.

I think students should be more interested in science and mathematics because in the future it will be really necessary. They think that they won’t see the things we are learning, but when they have the subjects again they are going to wish they listened to the teachers. OF course, everyone has a time when they don’t want to listen but there is no excuse to having no clue about what is going on. Our intelligence is immense but some of us don’t get the proper education. I also think we should take advantage and appreciate our education because there are many kids in the world that would like to read but there is no one to help them. The town that habitats me is extremely small. Like the town, our school is also tiny. The teachers try their hardest to help the pupils get a suitable education. Although our education isn’t so great, we are all capable of succeeding.

Yes, the world is changing very rapidly. Anyone who follows their dreams will succeed. You can be an engineer even if you come from a family that is lower-class. It doesn’t matter what class or race that person is from. The important thing is that they never quit trying and they followed their dreams until they reached their goals. That’s what everyone should do. If you don’t want to be an engineer it’s okay. If you do, you have many options to choose from. There’s chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering.

In conclusion, Earth is going to keep on changing. Some of these changes will affect us severely and some will be just minor affects. Change is good in a way, it makes things more easy but in another way it’s bad because things get more complicated to understand. People from 1976 asked themselves what the world would be like in 30 years. Now we are asking the same question. Just think for a second. Together anything is possible. Let’s make a difference and turn dreams into realities.
