2012 Gulf Coast TAME Math & Science Competition
The 2012 Gulf Coast TAME Math & Science and SECME Regional Competitions will take place on Saturday February 25, 2012 at Paul Revere Middle School.
At the annual Gulf Coast TAME Math & Science Competition, middle and high school students compete in individual math and science tests and participate in an interactive engineering team design activity. In addition to testing student knowledge of math and science concepts, the competition promotes teamwork, leadership, and academic achievement.
The Gulf Coast TAME Math & Science Competition is open to any student in grades 6-12 in the Gulf Coast TAME area, and the event is free. Participation in this competition is a prerequisite for competing in the TAME State Math & Science Competition. Scheduled to be held in College Station on April 13-14, the Statewide Competition will bring together 300 students from TAME chapters across the state for an all-expenses paid weekend of competition and camaraderie.
This year we will also have the SECME Regional Mousetrap, Banner, and Essay Competition. Please understand that all students who attends this day will first take both a math and science test, then participate in the SECME activities.
